This March we took a trip to Cabo San Lucas with my parents. We stayed at the Royal Solaris all inclusive hotel and it was amazing!
It was great to spend the first few days lounging around the pool and ocean with our tropical, all you can drink, drinks and endless snacks! The first few days we stayed at the resort making use of all the hotel has to offer.
The boys really wanted to try and get a game of golf in while we were there. All the courses were super expensive but they found a 9 hole course across the street that was about half the price of the rest of the courses. While they were golfing my mom and I didn't even leave the pool area. It was great.
On Sunday the weather was sort of gloomy so we decided to go into town and go whale watching. We got so many good recommendations from people at our resort to go see them before they migrate back north. We took an Uber into town which was way cheaper than a taxi. We walked along the pier until we found a company we liked. They promised us two hours on a glass bottom boat and told us if we didn't see any whales we would get our money back so we decided why not! We went to get some snacks and drinks to bring on the boat and were on our way.
Our driver first took us to see the famous arch of Cabo. It was really pretty with the water splashing up on the sides. There were also some colorful fish in the water there which was unique to see.
After we left the Arch, we headed further out into the water to find some whales. It was't long before we found our first one. We followed it for a while and then got a call from some other boats that there was a mom and baby swimming not too far away so we went to watch them. We stuck with them almost the full two hours. The pictures do not to it justice! The video's are best which you can find at the bottom of this page. They got so close to the boat. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I definitely recommend!
On our way back from whale watching we saw a few sea lions, one of which was following a boat so closely, it could've hopped on the back! Once we got back to the dock, we walked around the stores in the area before taking an Uber to a strip of restaurants near by that were recommended by some friends.
We first went to La Catrina for food. We were told to get their flaming cheese dish which did not disappoint! Afterwards we walked a couple doors down to The Office to get some drinks. The Office was such a fun, colorful restaurant. We really enjoyed it! However, it was spring break season so things were a bit crazy!
Once we finished there we headed back to our Hotel and relaxed there for the rest of the day. The following day we we spent resting on the beach again as it was our last full day, but the best weather we had the whole trip! We all got a little burnt by the end of the day but it was worth it.
We loved our time in #Cabo. It was so much different than other places we've been. I would love to go back again some day!
