Though it's a smaller city, Peoria, Illinois is filled with lots of fun things to do! I've compiled a list of some of my favorite activities to do around town!
Check them out!
Kickapoo Creek - Kickapoo creek is a cute winery located just outside the city. I've been here a few different times and really enjoyed it. The wine is delicious! I've also been there for lunch and really enjoyed that as well.
Escape Room - Escape room's are fun all year round! It's a great way to work on some team building too! Check out Escape 60 located downtown!
Pottery Paint - Fired up is a fun spot located in the heights. I always enjoy painting my own pottery pieces. It's fun for all ages and a great place to hang out all year round.
Crafted DIY Studio & Bar - Crafted is a new spot to the Peoria area and I am SO Excited about it! Here you can grab a drink with friends while creating one of their many adorable projects! This is definitely a place I'm
Tanners Orchard - Tanners has a special place in my heart! I went to Tanners just about every year while I was in college and a few times after college. I'm sure I have many more trips yet to come. This is the best Peoria area fall hot spot!
Peoria Zoo - If you're like me and never feel too old to go to the zoo, this is the spot for you! The zoo is such a great way to spend the day!
Peoria Chiefs Game - I'm a big baseball girl, so heading out to the ball game with a beer and a soft pretzel is my ideal activity throughout the summer. Baseball games are just so much fun!
Bradley Game - As a Bradley Alum it wouldn't be right if I didn't suggest going to see a Bradley U Game. Check out their basketball games in the winter and their baseball games in the summer. We did make it to the sweet 16 last year!
Rivermen Game - Since we're touching on all the sports in the area, it only seems right that I throw out a Rivermen Hockey game as well. I actually used to be a social media intern for the Rivermen which was just about the coolest thing ever!
Grand View Drive - Grand view drive is a Peoria gem. It's a great place to go for a scenic outlook onto the river, to drive by and look at the beautiful houses, or for a picnic! Fun Fact: President Theodore Roosevelt is said to have proclaimed it the "World's Most Beautiful Drive" during a 1910 visit.
Riverboat Cruise - The Spirit of Peoria is a beautiful old river boat which you can ride on along the Illinois river. They have a bunch of different rides you can take, but some of my favorites are the themed nights! We went on a Jimmy Buffet Theme night cruise and it was a blast! Great activity for date night!
Riverfront Museum - If you're looking for a fun indoor activity throughout the winter, or on a rainy day - look no further than the Peoria Riverfront Museum! Keep an eye on their rotating exhibits for new, exciting things!
Axe Throwing - Though I'm no good at it, I still love a good axe throw! Head over to Industry Brewing, grab a beer and let off some steam!
Purple Bubble Bar - Purple Bubble Bar is a fun spot where you can create your own bath bombs, candles, soaps and even attend a paint night! It's such a cute and unique spot!
Par-A-Dice Casino - If you're like me and love to gamble every now and then, check out Par-A-Dice casino! Hopefully you have better luck than me!
If you have any ideas of things to be added to my list, I'd love to hear them! Send me a message, or comment below.
