DIY Personalized Straw Beach Bag

I was looking for the perfect #bachelorette gift for a friend of mine, but didn't want to get her something she wouldn't use. I came across these personalized straw beach bags and thought that would be perfect since they will be on the beach for their honeymoon. I loved the way it turned out and decided to share it with you all!

Materials:

I started by laying the blank bag on a flat surface and guiding the rope where I wanted it to go (without glue). It took me a few times to center it and make the letters proportionate but once I got them close to what I wanted I taped the rope down to the bag for guidance before I started gluing.

Tip: Not all the letters have to connect, I ended up cutting the rope between some letters after "Y" and the first "E".

Once I was satisfied with the placements and the tape was down, I began gluing small pieces along the whole name. NOT the entire thing, just in case something moves and the name becomes disproportionate.

After gluing small dot along the full length of the rope, I then went back and added a full length of glue to the underside of my rope to ensure it was secure, especially on the ends of the rope to prevent any unravel that might happen there.

Once I was done gluing I let it sit to dry for about an hour then went ahead and packed it full with the rest of the items in my gift and I had a beach bag/gift bag all in one! She ended up loving it, and I got so many compliments. I can't wait to try it again on my own #beachbag!
